Eden Bender’s mixed media wall panels begin in a playful by methodical manner. She selects her materials and intrinsically meshes them together forming the larger landscape. She interlaces multiple layers and when the topographical composition evokes a feeling of a familiar place in nature Eden transitions to the next stage. The application of bold colours blanket the undulating forms with a vibration. The distraction of the strong colours draw you in to discover the texture of the intricate surfaces. This dichotomy of the calmness verses the high energy are a theme in her work. She strives to find the balance in her world and explores it in her art.
