Nebulae

Original creation in glass and aluminum. I made this piece during my artistic residency at Judson Studios in Los Angeles, USA. 

Composed of two parts, the colored glass bottom is made with the fused glass technique. The frame, placed in front, is made in aluminum. The shape is first made on the 3D software rhinoceros and then cut with a water jet cutter. 

Mixing innovation and tradition, I emancipate myself from the traditional stained glass technique to inscribe myself in a contemporary approach. The architectural shape of a gothic cathedral window allows me to make the link between the two.
