When painting Marise, a very strong willed young girl I wanted to show her beauty in a classical way expressing her very centred secure personality, yet cleary expressing her strong determination and focus.
The light touch of her two fingers feeling the feather was something very natural to her in feeling complete and comfortable.
The small glint in her eye captures a young girl who has incredible determination in all things and an amazing future ahead of her.
