Die Verletzung

Ralph Hackeland - Germany

The injury
A young man with a head bandage looks at a plastic bag he is holding in his hand. Apparently it's filled with water. The wall behind the man is tiled, as is the case in subway stations or in older buildings. Above the hand is a sort of monitor showing a cartoonish penguin character with color shifts. This cartoon character holds a glass of water between its wings - an ironic analogy to the man. It is not to be understood as old-fashioned advertising but rather as a highly topical warning: Water is of enormous value to mankind and is becoming increasingly scarce and an object of speculation. Why is the man carrying a bag of water, why does he have a head injury? This story doesn't bode well...
