Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?

The inspiration for my paintings is the identity of contemporary women and the experiences of my own life which I combine with global themes, myths, and religious iconography. The thing that thrills me the most in the process of art is the dialogue with the painting surface and the unexpected occurrences of this dialogic openness. The creaturely forms coming out of my canvases are the result of how cultural images crowd my mental state in today's world.
