Photography is a medium that captures the appearance of a subject through the reflection of light, and thanks to this characteristic, it was possible to capture the so-called "decisive moments". However, due to the property that everything is decided the moment the shutter is pressed, only a still image of the real world could be obtained, and the light only played the role of paint. 

 

I wanted to capture the movement of the light itself, not the subject. So I made photos using only film, except camera and lens. After intentionally exposing the 35mm film to the light of candlelight, we tried to express the voice and form of the light itself by extracting meaningful patterns from the scorched image. This is a photograph as an end rather than a means, and it is a mode of expression for a priori of light.
