Don't let anyone be the judge of your dreams

I have stretched medium coarse cotton canvas up on a blind frame size 160 x 200 cm and used acrylic painting, coal, pastel colors and fabric as mediums. The work is the representation of a female subject who at the first glance seems extremely self-confident, the sinuous, soft lines, the proud, confident gaze, certain of its worth. But if you look in the background you will find various figures such as « the bastard on your back», those who point at you and talk behind your back. My intention is to bring the viewer into an atmosphere of contradictions and emotions. I also use different elements like flowers, newspaper clippings in fabric and floating, feathery women who «whispers» reinforcing and uplifting words to give the female subject strength. Encourage others not judging others by their appearance, manners, or dreams they may have in life.
