Coat Hanger Swing

I draw inspiration from very different things. This can range from a lamppost to a small specific pleat in a dress. But eventually everything gets mixed up in my head. You could compare it to what happens when people dream about something at night. All elements that I encounter during the day appear suddenly in one image. This only happens to me when I’m awake and while I’m doing something trivial like drinking a cup of coffee.

In this specific drawing, characters are standing on a swing. The ropes are attached to coat hangers dangling in a tree. Like most of my works, all the figures are anonymous. I would define this style as Baroque Surrealism.
